Coaching & Mentoring
I currently work with the next generation of young disabled athletes, who face setbacks through their disability, every day. I help these young athletes at the Manchester Sport City Athletics academy, with their techniques by supporting their sporting journeys. I want to be able to use the sponsorship money to support these upcoming young athletes. I want to create opportunities for them that we’re not available for me when I was moving through my sporting career. I want them to know that there is someone out there that can emphasize with their journey on an emotional level. I want them to know that they have someone to turn to, someone that they can rely on. Not having someone to help you and struggling with the difficulties of a disability, are feelings I know too well, and I do not wish for these young athletes to go through these feelings.
I want to give back to the community and show them that people with disabilities, can also achieve many great things. That suffering or having a disability does not mean that you are any less than an average athlete. I want to prove that after many setbacks, people like myself, people with disabilities, can also reach their initial goals and ambitions. And hence why I want to finish off by saying, if there is anyone out there, that is reading this, that it able to help with by sponsoring me, I would be more than grateful. It would be mean the world to me. A sponsorship would allow me to me to fulfill my goals and dreams, but most importantly, allow me to continue coaching the future generation of disabled athletes.
As I embark on a new phase of my journey, I will be developing my skills and qualifications to become the very best coach and mentor to children with disabilities, who want to get into the sport I love.
BallZone.co.uk have kindly sponsored me to take a range of Sports Coaching qualifications to support this journey.
